POETRY: Door to emotion

Poetry, what could be the meaning of poetry, or probably yet, what could be the essence of poetry?

I believe that poetry, in essence is as a result of a burst of emotion, thoughts not talked of, and desires not revealed. All emanating from the heart.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. ~Robert Frost

Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power. Poetry is boned with ideas, nerved and blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, tough skin of words. ~Paul Engle

William Wordsworthsays, “Good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of feelings originating from emotion recollected in tranquility “.

An indication of just how deep poetry is percieved. However, poetry is not business, it is not rigid, it is flexible and it is responsive.
